With our Industrial Mechatronic Unit (IMU), you can replicate industrial automated production systems of varying complexity. Thanks to its modular design, the IMU is perfectly suited for future expansion. This system supports you throughout your entire training journey, from the fundamentals of PLC programming to connected production processes.

The industrial touch panel and various control elements enable extensive operation and monitoring of the system and its states. The touch panel is fully programmable, allowing it to display a wide range of information about the system. The control elements are also freely configurable, ensuring simple and intuitive operation of the unit.

Everything You Need for Teaching in One System
Our IMU is a cyber-physical system. It includes a programmable logic controller (PLC) as its logic unit, Ethernet ports for communication, a DC motor, and various sensors. An IO-Link master module allows you to connect additional smart sensors, such as the included RFID read/write head. A 25-pin serial interface makes the PLC’s inputs and outputs available for various processing stations.

After covering the basics of PLC programming, you can address additional aspects by setting up modular processing systems—for example, separating workpieces, machining, quality control, labeling, and sorting.
